After being in the financial services industry for 15
years, John felt there was a need for a company that provided unbiased financial advice and did not manufacture its own products. So, in 2000 John founded JVK to provide individuals and their businesses with custom designed investment and insurance solutions using non-proprietary products.

After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Math, John was awarded the following investment industry designations:
FCSI - Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute
It is recognized as the highest honour in the financial services industry.
CFP - Certified Financial Planner
Internationally recognized credential.
FMA - Financial Management Advisor
The FMA is a 3 course designation that provides enhanced knowledge of the wealth management process, estate and tax planning and the evaluation of managed products for high-net-worth clients.
